Nothing a Bit of Sun and Alcohol Can’t Fix

So I am sure all of you have been wondering what I look like.  You think, who is this short girl with incredible wisdom, impeccable fashion, and an insane love for food and travel?  Well in this post I will finally show you.  But first I will bore you with my daily drama.

For the past 24 hours, I have been incredibly sad due to something that I found out about regarding my family.  The whole thing is disgustingly personal, but I will tell you that it left me feeling extremely unloved.  Tension was building in my neck and back, which actually made my feelings more intense.  It’s funny how that works.  So the only obvious thing to do was get a massage.

I started my day at Massage Envy on South Beach, and my masseuse, Elizabeth, was incredible.  If you ever end up going there make sure to request her because she was very fabulous.  The massage hurt during, but after I felt very relieved.  My feelings became a bit less intensified.

Afterwards, I went home and a flush of emotions rushed in.  I became overwhelmed with sadness and thank god my best friend walked in when she did because she was able to get my mind off of it–and she didn’t even know what it was.  We went upstairs, got dressed for the beach, and rushed out.

We went to my favorite beach hangout, The Miami Beach Edition, and immediately headed to lunch, as it was evident that I was in desperate need of comfort food.  *I just noticed how prevalent “i-words” are in my writing today*  So, we sat down at a shady table and ordered.  My appetizer was a “Mai Tai” and my main was a “Chi Chi Chi”.   Yes, I know what you’re thinking: “dat drunk ass bitch”.  But frankly, I don’t really care.

Finally, when my mind was clear, I was able to begin to enjoy my day.  We grabbed our things and headed to the beach.  Also, just to give you a clue as to what a mess I was today, my beach bag was a Birkin.

We played in the water and had a photo shoot on the beach.  Literally all the people on the beach must have thought we were such basic white girls, but #yolo.

Eventually, I came home, and indulged in a warm bath complete with a Lush fizzy ball.  My favorite.  I’m glad that I was able to have a pretty good ending to an overall awful day.
